Appearing on Van Halen’s 1984 album, which was strangely enough released in 1984, “Hot For Teacher” went to #55 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It also helped the album go on to peak at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart and sell over 14 million copies. (The group, which was founded by Alex and Eddie couldn’t budge Michael Jackson‘s Thriller from the top spot, although that was an album on which Eddie Van Halen did play a rather well-known guitar solo). Recorded at 5150 Studios in Hollywood, California, the track was produced by Ted Templeman.
