“Just What I Needed” was the track that launched The Cars career. Appearing on their 1978 eponymous debut, the tune went to #27 on the Billboard Hot 100 and also charted well in some other world markets. It was produced by Roy Thomas Baker (Queen) and was recorded at AIR Studios in London, England.
