Paul McCarntney and Wings was formed in 1971 by former Beatle Paul McCartney, his wife Linda, drummer Denny Seiwell and Denny Laine . The band ended in 1981 after over a decade of incredible success.
The band put out hit after hit starting in 73 after releasing the title track of the James Bond movie Live and Let Die.
They had their first complete flop. The album “Back to the Egg” had lackluster results, and then to top it off, Paul was busted in Japan with weed, which didn’t go over very well in that era.
