“Orion” was a track appearing on Metallica’s Master of Puppets album, released in 1982 . The instrumental track features bassist Cliff Burton’s trademark lead bass style throughout much of the tune. Burton’s two solos in the tune are often mistaken as guitar parts and occur between 1:42-2:12 and 6:35-6:54. Sadly, Burton was killed in a crash of Metallica’s tour bus in Sweden on September 27, 1986. This track was played at his funeral.
