Karen Carpenter was born March 2nd, 1950, was a talented vocalists and musician. Her vocal range was one thing that set her apart in her time. She had an incredible 3-octave contralto vocal range.
She is also a pretty awesome drummer. She was most know as half of The Carpenters, the other half being her brother, Richard Lynn Carpenter, who is still active in music and more as of 2020.
Her untimely health issues and premature death brought massive awareness to eating disorders in the US and abroad.
She included in Rolling Stones 100 greatest singer of all time.
