The Stone Roses were formed by Ian Brown, John Squire, Mani, and Reni in Manchester, England in 1983. They were an alternative and indie rock band that existed for 6 years before releasing their first album, The Stone Roses, with Silvertone Records in 1989.
Even though their first album was a success, they only released 2 albums due to a combination of the lack of commercial success of their second album in 1994 and multiple lineup changes during the tour that was supposed to support that album.
