One Direction was a very popular band that started in 2010. They called it quits in 2016, mostly because the members all took off in their own direction, but there’s no official shutdown of the group.
They’ve won close to 200 different awards across the globe for their music and huge following. They are the only band to have their first 4 album release hit the top spot (Number 1) on the Billboard 200.
In 2013, with over 4 million copies of their 3rd album sold, they grabbed the title of the best selling album of 2013 worldwide.
Pretty impressive by any standard.
