“Every Breath You Take” became a massive hit off The Police’ equally successful 1983 album Synchronicity. In addition to staying at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for eight weeks, the song was nominated for a Grammy Award for Song of the Year, and the track for Record of the Year, and Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals. It was recorded at AIR Studios, Montserrat and mixed at Le Studio, Quebec, Canada and produced by The Police and Hugh Padgham.
