Stewart Copeland served as the drummer for the Police. He was born on July 16, 1952. Copeland moved to Cairo, Egypt shortly after he was born and spent his early years living in the Middle East. He played the drums from an early age and started his musical career as a road manager for the band Curved Air in 1974. He was a founding member of the Police which formed in 1977.
In his personal life, Copeland has married twice and now lives in Los Angeles. He is the biological father to six children.
