The Smashing Pumpkins is a wildly popular indie/ alternative rock band from Chicago, IL. The band is led by Billy Corgan who is also the main vocalist. They are most well known for their iconic and critically acclaimed album, “Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness” which came out in 1995. It’s an album so popular you may have seen the cover or heard a song from if you were born in the 80’s and 90’s.
One of their most famous songs is 1979 of the same album. As for today the band is still together and making music. There most recent album “Shiny and Oh So Bright Vol. 1 / LP: No Past. No Future. No Sun” was released in 2018.
