The Sex Pistols were an English band formed in London in 1975. Former members of the band includes; Johnny Rotten, Steve Jones, Glen Matlock, Paul Cook and Sid Vicious. The band was responsible for pioneering the punk movement in the United Kingdom. The band has broken up and gotten back together over the years.
Their active years were, 1973-1978, 1996, 2002-2003, 2007-2008. Although the band is highly regarded, they produced only four singles and one studio album. The band was also know for been controversial at their time.
On February 24th, 2006, members of the Sex Pistol were inducted into the Rock and Roll hall of fame which they refused calling it the ”museum a piss stain”.
