In 1968, Rush, a well-known Rock band, formed in Canada and they remained active until 2018. The band went through several line-up changes until 1974 when their classic line-up became set with Geddy Lee doing vocals and bass, Alex Lifeson playing the guitar, and Neil Peart playing the drums. The bands musical style changed many times ranging from blues kind of hard rock in the beginning to a guitar led hard rock style at its conclusion.
This popular band has sold over 25 million records and have been awarded 24 gold records. They’ve been nominated for many awards including some Grammy’s and were inducted in 2013 to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In 2018, they announced that after 41 year career, they would no longer be actively touring. Long-time drummer Neil Peart passed in early 2020.
