Released in 1991, Pearl Jam’s Ten album started out slow but went on to sell over 10 million copies and is the band’s most successful album. The track “Alive” was released as a single in 1991 as well. The music was written by Stone Gossard and the lyrics by Eddie Vedder. It was recorded at London Bridge Studios in Seattle, Washington with producer Rick Parashar. Drummer Dave Krusen left the band immediately after recording the album.
