Released on Metallica’s self-titled fifth album in 1992 (often referred to as the “The Black Album”), “Wherever I May Roam” rose to #2 on the Billboard Album Rock Tracks chart. It was also one of four singles that would power the album to the top spot on the Billboard Top 200 Albums and many other world sales charts and 20 million in sales worldwide. The album was recorded at One on One Recording Studios in North Hollywood, California and produced by Bob Rock, James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich.
