“Fly Away” appeared on Lenny Kravitz’s 1998 album 5. The track went to #1 on the U.K. singles chart and #12 on the Billboard Hot 100 and won Kravitz a Grammy Award in 1999 for Best Male Rock Performance. It also helped fuel album sales of over 6 million. Written and produced by Kravitz, the album was recorded at Ghetto Lounge Studios in Miami and Compass Point Studios in the Bahamas.
