Released in 1978, Cheap Trick’s third studio album produced the hit “Surrender”, which arguably remains the band’s best known track. Written by Rick Nielsen and produced by Tom Werman, the track was recorded at the Record Plant and Sound City Studios in Los Angeles, California. The track was also included as a live version on the album Cheap Trick at Budokan, which was released a few months earlier and which garnered the most airplay making it many listeners’ first experiences with the track. This is the studio version.
