Hailing from the East Bay of California, Green Day has taken punk, pop and alternative rock to an entirely new level.
They got their start in the early punk music scene in Berkeley, California, by playing local clubs and honing their skills.
Their breakout moment came in 1994 with the release of their first major album under Reprise Records. Success would be an understatement with 10 million copies sold.
Since that release, the band has been entertaining crowds world-wide with each subsequent success for every album they’ve produced since.
