“Schism” appeared on the 2001 Tool album Lateralus. In addition to winning the group a Grammy Award in 2002, the track also was part of what made the album so successful–it debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 Top Albums chart. The album was recorded at Cello Studios, Hollywood; The Hook, North Hollywood; Big Empty Space, North Hollywood; and The Lodge, North Hollywood, all in California, and was produced by the band and David Bottrill. Note that the video maker included the instruments faintly in the background on this track.
