T-Rex was an English band that was founded in 1967 by Marc Bolan. The original line up of the band, originally named Tyrannosaurus Rex, included Ben Cartland, Steve Porter, Bolan, and one other member.
Between the years of 1968 and 1977, the band released a dozen albums. After Bolan died in a car crash in September of 1977, the band fell apart.
The band remains influential in genres such as glam rock, indie pop, and alternative music.
