Written in 1966, “Mama Told Me Not To Come” was originally recorded by Randy Newman. Once Three Dog Night got a hold of it, they added more to their cover version of the song, which became very popular in early 1970.
The addition of piano parts and rhythms form the band really give it that summer vibe.
