Owl City is not as much a band or group as it is a “project”, and it was founded as a project. It’s one of many projects that Adam Young created.
Believe it or not, Owl City was created in his parents basement while experimenting with different types and methods of music.
MySpace was the catalyst for this young mans ambition when he grew an substantial audience and following.
Some of the best known music is known from movies and animated films such as Legend of the Guardians, Wreck-It Ralph and The Smurfs 2.
Not bad for someone who started in their parents basement.
