From the 1973 Steely Dan release Countdown To Ecstasy, “Bodhisattva” was a minor hit on FM radio. Produced by Gary Katz, the follow up album to Can’t Buy A Thrill was less successful but still charted as high as #35 on the Billboard Pop Albums chart. The tune was written by Walter Becker and Donald Fagen and recorded at the Village Recorders in Los Angeles, California and the Caribou Ranch in Colorado.

Amazing. I wore out this LP as a teen. Its still one of my favorite solos (after Kid Charlemagne)
