“Michelle” appeared on the Beatles 1965 Rubber Soul release and in addition to top chart positions and other accolades won the Grammy Award for Song of the Year in 1967. Paul McCartney reworked the song from a parody piece he had created after seeing a French student play at a party he had been at. It was produced by George Martin and recorded at EMI Studios in London.
