Released on the Foo Fighters 1997 album The Colour and the Shape, “Everlong” became one of the group’s most successful songs. Written by group leader Dave Grohl, who also played almost all the instruments on the recording, the track helped drive the album to over 2 million in sales. The recording of the album journeyed through different personnel and studios, including Bear Creek Studios in Woodinville, Washington, WGNS Studios in Washington, DC, and Grandmaster Recorders in Hollywood, California with Gil Norton producing.
