“Take On Me” appeared on A-ha’s 1986 U.S. debut album Hunting High and Low. It was the driving force single that broke the Norwegian pop/new wave band worldwide and which drove the album to #15 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart and #2 on the U.K. chart. The album went on to sell over 15 million units worldwide and the group also garnered a Best New Artist Grammy nomination. The track was recorded at Eel Pie Studios in Twickenham, U.K. and was produced by Alan Tarney.
